What is Next4Chat?
Next4Chat is one app for end-to-end encrypted chats and calls, groups, statuses, scheduled messages and My Khata, a credit book for shops. It runs on iOS, Android and the web.
Are my messages end-to-end encrypted?
Yes. Chat messages, files and calls are end-to-end encrypted on iOS, Android and the web, and not even Next4Chat can read them. Statuses, profile photos, reactions and polls are not end-to-end encrypted; they are protected with HTTPS on the way to the server.
How do I check that a chat is encrypted?
Open the chat's encryption screen and compare the 60-digit security code (or the QR on the web) with the other person's phone. If they match, the chat is private.
Can I back up my chats?
Yes. Back up chats, photos, videos, voice notes, documents, keys and settings to Google Drive, encrypted with a backup password you choose. Keep that password safe: without it, nobody can restore the backup, including Next4Chat.
What are scheduled messages?
Write a message now, pick one or more chats and a date and time, and the server sends it even if your phone is off. You can edit, reschedule, send now or cancel it.
Can I use Next4Chat on my computer?
Yes. Open Next4Chat Web and scan the QR code with your phone, then approve the sign-in on the phone. Your chat keys come from the phone, so older chats open on the web too.
What is My Khata?
My Khata is a business ledger inside Next4Chat. Record what you gave and what you received for each customer, see running balances, share statements, send payment reminders and give staff access.
